Or is it????????????

I would like to tell a story today. One day, there was a man in a Georgia town. He lived a good life and held honest values. This man voted for John Kerry, because he thought he could change the world that Bush was destroying. When Kerry lost, so did he. He then drove up to New York City. He scaled the wall at the WTC site, and shot himself dead. That is the story of an untold marytr. A story that was almost never heard or read. Bun in a single second, Andrew Veal did what all Bush haters thought of doing. And he symobolized how seriously we take this issue. The media said almost nothing of this, and that deeply saddens me. Whether you think he's a marytr or a liberal kook, write your newspaper and tell them to post the story of Andrew Veal.

No. I will not write to anyone. I read this story some many hours ago. Glorification of suicide is not something a society that values life does.

"liberal cook, write your newspaper and tell them to post the story of Andrew Veal."

There is nothing newsworthy about a liberal kook.

The sad thing is that you even think this guy is anything but insane. How depressing to live your life this way. I have important people who love me and whom I love to live for. Besides, in another four years, he may have had something to live for as well.

Oh...at least he helped thin out the gene pool......

Cook or kook?

Anyways this has been covered on JU two times already so this story is not uncovered nor is it buried.

Though if you must glorify suicide as means to protest an democratic republic election than I suggest you do not say a word about war period.

Martyr my arse, more like idiot who lost all faith in America even though the strength of America rests in our hands not Bush or Cheney's!!

Plinko for Plinko's sake!!

Personally, I feel that it was a weak individual who made a poor and saddening decision. This makes no more sense than performing the same actions over the breakup of a relationship, the loss of a friend, or your Dungeon Master killing off your favorite 50th level fighter.

Suicide - a tragic, but stupid, decision

A lot of conservatives where dismayed when Clinton was re-elected. And many were depressed because he could lie and cheat and steal and get away with it. But I dont remember any of them comitting suicide.

He is not a martyr, just a kook. I would not even call him a liberal as that has not been established, and is irrelevant anyway.

But in those cases, you lost something meaningful that you won't ever get back.
I miss thee, Murdrock of Alianore.

He deserves no publicity nor accolades. He is a coward who betrayed his cause by removing himself from the causes he claimed to love. Americans should see the shame and dishonor of what this man did, by selfishly thinking only of himself rather than the world he claimed to care so much for.

I think this guy had alot of integrity. He was so dedicated to what he stood for that he was willing to die for it. If more people cared as much as he did this world would be a better place. Why do you people have to be so negative? If you would just look at something and not ommediatly think it was stupid, maybe you would learn something beyond your petty ignorance. People like you are a dime a dozen so if you want anything worth having, you're gonna need to change your attitude toward life.

I never thought of suicide over Bush being re-elected, and I have 5 suicide attempts to my name. So, I dunno what you'll do with that, but there it is.

Follow in his footsteps if you desire, but I'll choose to follow somebody who didn't kill himself because his candidate lost the election. I'll follow somebody who perseveres and doesn't submit. I guess those people don't have as much integrity, eh?

People like you are a dime a dozen so if you want anything worth having, you're gonna need to change your attitude toward life.

And, by killing himself, what does he have?
